Cyber Security for Engineers – Standards for cyber-physical systems
Your benefits:
- Preparation for regulatory and customer-specific requirements
- Up-to-date standards expertise
- Direct transfer into technical development processes
Duration: 2 days | Cybersecurity is a central success factor in the development of cyber-physical systems. Legal requirements such as the Cyber Resilience Act, UN-ECE regulations, or the EU Radio Equipment Directive (RED) are fundamentally changing the playing field for manufacturers and operators.
Information security is becoming increasingly important in all areas. As a result of normative and legislative measures, internet-connected facilities must comply with more and more national and international standards and, above all, to protect data and assets from third-party attacks. Accordingly, special procedures and measures are necessary with regards to the specification, analysis and implementation of information security.
This seminar covers a broad spectrum of current cybersecurity standards – from internationally established standards like ISO/SAE 21434 for vehicle development to the latest EU regulations of the EN 18031 series for networked radio equipment – and conveys their practical relevance for technical systems in Automotive, IoT, and Industry. The focus is on the fundamental structure of relevant standards, central security principles, and an adaptable lifecycle framework for integration into technical development processes. Furthermore, strategies for avoiding and managing vulnerabilities and practical applications of cyber-security tools in the will be demonstrated in a custom cybersecurity lab.
